Dr. Basu Ray is a physician by training who is a practicing Cardiac Electrophysiologist. He has been practicing meditation since age six. He has been initiated in the Krya Yoga tradition by Swami Hariharananda Giri; the disciple of Mahamuni Yukteshwar Giri and a brother disciple plus disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda. A practitioner of Advaita Vedanta has been practicing his Guru’s sermon; “ An Ounce of Practice Equals A Ton Of Theory.”
He has also been trying to bridge the gap between present understanding of man, this earth, and the cosmos based on science and inner intuition derived from meditative practices. He has spoken on the scientific research on yoga and meditation as a tool to understand the complex philosophy which the yogis or yore comprehended by powerful meditative practices. Meditation increases vibration of the body and mind to achieve superhuman capability as described in every religion and is what common man call as miracles. The universe exists as multiple layers of vibration from higher ones to the lowest one-Earth the material plane.
